We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Product Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our business objectives and technological solutions, working closely with engineering teams on technical products, ensuring that our products meet market needs and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, including technical requirements and system constraints.

- Translate these into detailed User stories and Acceptance criteria for the development team.

Stakeholder Management:

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure alignment with the product strategy.

Backlog Management:

- Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog based on business value and customer needs, including technical stories, spikes, and technical debt items.

- Write clear and concise user stories with acceptance criteria to ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of the requirements and that user stories are ready for implementation.

- Continuously review and refine the product backlog to reflect changing requirements, feedback, and priorities.

Sprint Planning and Review:

- Drive the backlog grooming and sprint planning meetings to help the development team understand the requirements and define sprint goals, with understanding of technical dependencies and feasibility.

- Review completed work to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria and provide feedback.

Understanding of Product:

- Develop a deep understanding of the product, its functionality, its technical architecture and system integrations, and its business context to effectively communicate the product vision and requirements to the development team and stakeholders.

Technical Collaboration:

- Work closely with development teams to understand technical implementation details, review technical solutions, and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical feasibility.

Continuous Improvement:

- Advocate for and implement continuous improvement practices within the product development process, ensuring that feedback loops are established and acted upon.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner role with exposure to technical products or systems.

- Proficiency in using product management and project management tools.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to discuss technical concepts with engineering teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience in agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

- Basic understanding of software architecture, databases, and system integrations.

Nice to Have:

- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification (technical certifications are a plus)

- Familiarity with SQL or database concepts.

- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in enterprise software.

- Background in energy, trading, or financial systems.
