
The Program Manager
Job Description:
- The Program Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalize a development program according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- This role works collaboratively with project teams to determine critical milestones and deliverables on programs and communicates all aspects of the program effectively.
- Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing of initiatives.
- Liaison with project managers to build relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Direct, develop, and manage Program/Project Development from beginning to end with full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
- Develop and manage budgets for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
- Plan, manage, track, and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Conduct project assessments and generate a recommendations report containing an estimation of resources needed to achieve project goals and negotiations needed with other department managers personnel assets needed.
- Provide progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Contribute to the process for improvement activities and assist in driving and supporting to fruition.
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
- Or, any combination of education and experience that would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
- 10+ years' experience in Project or Program Management Software, IT or similar experience.
- 6+ years of experience in a management role, preferably in program management.
- 6+ years' experience in continuous improvement, process management, or customer service.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Exceptional knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques. Knowledge of enhancement of existing products; methodology application tactics in diverse scenarios; industry expertise in a specific area of program to be managed; network and PC operating systems; Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
Skill in:
- Strong leadership and management skills; project management, executive-level communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to:
- Lead various large and complex projects through its life cycle to completion; produce cost estimates and deployment plans; work in a fast-paced environment; stay organized, prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines. Establish and maintaining effective working relationships.
