Koyo is Newton Schools AI-powered interview platform that helps companies screen, assess, and hire candidates faster and more objectively. We are disrupting the recruitment landscape by enabling businesses to conduct structured, scalable interviews using AI, significantly reducing time-to-hire while improving quality.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-octane Sales Team Lead to scale the Koyo sales engine. This is a "Player-Coach" role: you will be responsible for hitting your own revenue/demo targets while leading and mentoring a team of Business Development Associates (BDAs) and Interns.
You will be the bridge between ground-level execution and high-level sales strategy, ensuring the team hits its collective monthly and quarterly milestones.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Mentoring (60%)
- Performance Management: Lead a team of 46 BDAs/Sales Associates. Conduct weekly 1:1s, track daily activity metrics, and ensure the team hits its demo and revenue targets.
- Coaching: Join "ride-along" calls, review recorded demos, and provide actionable feedback to improve the team's pitching and objection-handling skills.
- Sales Enablement: Create and refine sales scripts, email sequences, and objection-handling playbooks to standardize success across the team.
- Hiring & Training: Assist in interviewing and onboarding new sales talent to scale the department.
2. Individual Contribution (40%)
- High-Value Prospecting: Manage a personal pipeline of "A-list" enterprise accounts and strategic partnerships.
- Closing: Lead product demonstrations and negotiate contracts for key accounts, setting the gold standard for the team to follow.
- Reporting: Maintain a clean CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot/Lever) and provide accurate weekly forecasts to the leadership team.
3. Strategy & Growth
- Market Feedback: Synthesize feedback from prospects to help the Product team prioritize the Koyo roadmap.
- Campaign Design: Collaborate with Marketing to design outbound campaigns targeting specific industries (e.g., IT Services, BFSI, Startups).
Who We Are Looking For
- 4 to 6 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales or HRTech, with a consistent history of over-achieving individual targets.
- Experience in managing or mentoring junior sales professionals. You know how to motivate a team through the highs and lows of cold outreach.
- Ability to look beyond daily volume and understand "unit economics"knowing which channels and messaging styles yield the highest ROI.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders (CHROs, CTOs, Founders).
- Advanced knowledge of CRM workflows, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outbound automation tools. Familiarity with HR platforms like Keka, Darwinbox, or Greenhouse is a plus.
