Role Description:

The Campus Head - Operations & Strategy is the single point of accountability for every outcome on the campus - strategic, operational, academic, and cultural. You will hire and lead the entire team, establish all systems and processes, and then run and scale the institution.

This is not a coordination or oversight role. It requires someone who can lead from the front: set direction, make hard decisions, build high-performing teams, manage complex institutional relationships, and deliver results across every function.

Responsibilities:

Campus Strategy

Define and drive the campus strategy in alignment with NST's vision, goals, and annual plans.

- Make high-stakes decisions on resource allocation, priorities, and trade-offs across functions.

- Report to NST's central leadership and represent the campus in all strategic discussions.

Operations Management

- Oversee all day-to-day campus operations: academics, student lifecycle management, hostel operations, facilities, safety, and campus services.

- Lead the end-to-end setup of the Bengaluru campus for next year & beyond - physical infrastructure, systems, facilities, and technology.

- Build robust operational systems that scale with the campus and reduce single points of failure.

- Manage the campus budget, control costs, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.

- Drive continuous process improvement to raise operational standards across all functions.

People Leadership & Team Building

- Build the entire campus team - hiring across operations, student progression, placements, hostel management, and all support functions.

- Lead, develop, and retain senior talent across functions; build a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence.

- Scale the team thoughtfully as the campus grows, creating resilient, self-sufficient functions at every level.

Academic & Student Outcomes

- Partner with NST's academic teams to ensure rigorous, high-quality curriculum delivery, pedagogy, and content standards on campus.Drive student success across every stage of the journey: admissions, onboarding, academics, progression, and placement.

- Create a campus environment where students are engaged, motivated, and positioned to achieve aspirational outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

- Serve as NST's primary institutional representative to the partner university - managing relationships with senior leadership including Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, and Board members.

- Build a structured, long-term partnership with the university: coordinate on academic governance, program delivery, regulatory compliance, and joint initiatives.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with NST's central teams (academics, placements, product, marketing, and finance) to align campus priorities with the broader institutional agenda.

Placement & Industry Connect

- Partner with the placement and training cell to drive internship and final placement outcomes for every student cohort.

- Track placement metrics closely and create accountability across teams for achieving placement goals.

Requirements:

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in category management, general management, strategy, business lead, operations lead, or similar roles.

- Proven experience in building teams, leading cross-functional collaboration, and managing teams effectively over time.

- Goal-driven and adaptable in fast-paced environments.

- Balance between long-term process-building and short-term problem-solving.

- Empathy for students with a commitment to aspirational outcomes.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships and engaging stakeholders.
