We are looking for experienced and qualified candidates for executing on New Product Development (NPD) initiatives for D2C Peanut Butter. The New Product Development and Sourcing Specialist is a pivotal role that contributes to the company's growth and success by overseeing the creation of innovative products and ensuring the efficient sourcing of materials. This role requires a blend of project management, strategic sourcing, and supply chain expertise to deliver high-quality products that meet customer demands and drive business pro- tability. Key Responsibilities: - Involvement in new product development of value added products of peanut butters and other category expansion. - Lead the development of detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for new product initiatives. - Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and manufacturing, to ensure seamless product development from concept to launch. - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for materials, and manufacturing partners to develop new products. - Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers as necessary while maintaining quality and reliability standards. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with supplier and contract manufacturers, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the sourcing process. - Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and address any quality or delivery issues promptly. - Drive cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities for value engineering, alternative materials, and process improvements. - Monitor and manage costs & quality throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints. - Knowledge in inventory management - Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Qualifications: - Proven experience in new product development, sourcing, and supplier management, preferably in a relevant industry. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with quality assurance processes, industry regulations, and compliance standards. - Credentials in health and safety training
