Neterwala Group - Lead - Sustainability/ESG

Role & responsibilities

ESG Strategy & Implementation

- Develop and implement the company's ESG and sustainability strategy aligned with corporate goals.

- Identify sustainability risks and opportunities across manufacturing operations and supply chains.

- Lead initiatives on energy efficiency, emissions reduction, waste management, and water conservation.

Environmental Management

- Monitor and improve performance related to carbon emissions, energy use, water consumption, and waste generation.

- Implement programs to achieve carbon reduction targets and resource efficiency improvements.

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal policies.

ESG Reporting & Disclosures

Lead preparation of sustainability reports aligned with frameworks such as:

- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

- Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)

- Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

Governance & Compliance

- Develop ESG governance structures, policies, and internal controls.

- Ensure compliance with national environmental and sustainability regulations.

- Support internal audits and due diligence on ESG performance.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Engage with internal teams, external partners, regulators, and investors on ESG matters.

- Work with procurement teams to integrate sustainable sourcing and supplier ESG assessments.

Data Management & Metrics

- Track and analyze ESG KPIs across manufacturing sites.

- Build dashboards and systems for sustainability data collection and reporting.

- Provide regular performance updates to leadership.

Training & Awareness

- Conduct sustainability awareness programs for employees.

- Embed ESG considerations into decision-making across functions.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Skills

- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, and climate strategies

- Knowledge of environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing

- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field

- Professional certifications in sustainability or ESG reporting are an advantage

Experience

- 10- 15 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or related roles

- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or Engineering environments preferred

- Experience preparing sustainability disclosures or ESG ratings submissions

Travel & Mobility: The position is based in Mumbai and frequent travel is anticipated to our plants located at Dharwad, Nasik & Nagpur.
