Lead Financial Analyst (M&A and FP&A)

Job Overview:

NEC Software Solutions (India) Private Limited, a leading provider of end-to-end IT services, is seeking a high-energy Lead Financial Analyst to join its team in Mumbai.


This pivotal role will work closely with financial, operational, and corporate functions, assisting with the post-merger integration of acquired companies and providing deep-dive analysis on core business performance.


Reporting to the Finance Director M&A & Projects and FC FP&A, you will also play a key role in supporting the FP&A team, managing a direct report, and contributing to strategic financial initiatives within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration:


- Assist in the post-merger integration of acquired companies, including related financial reporting.

- Support the development of comprehensive integration plans addressing operational, financial, and cultural differences.

- Create sophisticated financial models to simulate various scenarios and assess the impact of acquisition or disposal risks.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Support:

- Provide in-depth financial analysis on core business performance.

- Manage and update the CFO KPI dashboard and other key financial metrics.

- Assist the Finance Controller FP&A with various reporting and ad-hoc duties.

Continuous Improvement & Control:

- Support the continuous improvement program and assist with projects/workstreams related to the control environment.

People Management:

- Directly manage and mentor an FP&A analyst, fostering their professional development.

Personal Qualities, Skills, and Experience:

IFRS Technical Competencies:


- Strong knowledge in business transformation, including strategy, operational transformation, and performance improvement (value creation).

- Experience in M&A integration and performance improvement is advantageous.

- Experience in a major advisory or management consultancy firm is a plus.

Analytical & Financial Acumen:

- Strong analytical skills are essential, including extensive experience analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and valuation metrics.

- Proficiency in financial modeling is required.

- Ability to think strategically and provide financial insights and recommendations aligned with long-term company goals.

Project Management:

- Experience in project management is useful, including the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Technical Proficiency:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Soft Skills:

- Hands-on and non-hierarchical team player, effective in managing upwards and downwards, and capable of relating well across all levels and cultures.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills; confident and impactful presenter.

- Strong facilitation skills, adept at forging consensus around credible and executable solutions.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the gravitas and experience to successfully engage and manage a multiple-stakeholder environment and lead by example.

- Objective, fact-based approach to problem-solving.

- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or a relevant business-based degree with an accounting module (MBA or advanced degree in business management preferred).
