Job Title: Head - Rolling Stock Engineering

Location: India (Metro / RRTS / High-Speed Rail Projects)

Experience: 20 - 30 Years

Education: Mechanical / Electrical / Rolling Stock Engineering (Preferred)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive end-to-end Rolling Stock engineering, system integration, and project delivery across metro, RRTS, and high-speed rail projects. The role requires strong expertise in Rolling Stock, Signalling systems, and Platform Screen Door (PSD) integration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead design, integration, testing & commissioning (TC&C) of Rolling Stock systems

- Drive system engineering & architecture including propulsion, braking, bogies, carbody, and train control

- Ensure seamless integration with Signalling systems (CBTC/ETCS) and Platform Screen Doors (PSD)

- Manage interfaces across Rolling Stock, Signalling, PSD, Telecom, and Track systems

- Ensure compliance with EN50126/28/29 standards, RAMS, and safety certifications

- Lead customer interface, RDSO/CMRS approvals, and ISA coordination

- Oversee project delivery (cost, quality, schedule) and risk mitigation

- Drive testing strategy, validation plans, FAT/SAT, and final acceptance

- Lead bids, tendering, and business development initiatives

- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional engineering teams

Mandatory Skills (Must Have):

- Strong experience in Rolling Stock Engineering (Design + Integration + TC&C)

- Proven expertise in Signalling Systems (CBTC / ETCS / Train Control Integration)

- Hands-on experience with Platform Screen Doors (PSD) integration with Rolling Stock

- Experience managing multi-system interfaces (RS-Signalling-PSD-Telecom)

- Deep understanding of RAMS, safety case, and railway certification processes

Key Requirements:

- 20-30 years experience in Rail / Metro / Rolling Stock domain

- Experience with leading OEMs like Alstom, Siemens, General Electric, Bombardier Transportation, Knorr-Bremse

- Strong leadership experience managing large engineering teams & stakeholders

- Proven track record in metro / high-speed / freight rolling stock projects

Preferred Background:

- Experience in RRTS / Metro Rail / High-Speed Rail projects

- Exposure to global engineering centers & multi-country teams

- Strong customer-facing and technical leadership experience
