Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Vice President Principal Risk & Control Specialist with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in technology, financial services, or consulting. This Senior Management role is central to the Chief Controls Office (CCO) and involves working across multiple complex domains, including Group CIO's IT Business Units, Operational Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Audit. The VP will be responsible for developing and implementing the Group CIO's risk management approach, acting as a trusted advisor to global Technology leaders on managing complex Technology and Cyber risks.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management Framework Development and Implementation

- Collaborate with the global CCO team to strategically develop Group CIOs approach to technology and cyber risk management.

- Engage directly with GCIO divisions and functions globally to implement the approved risk management framework and ensure consistent application.

- Act as a leader with strong influence to build relationships with Technology teams and stakeholders worldwide.

- Drive strategic planning for risk assessment methodologies, promoting the adoption of risk and control principles across the organization.

Technology and Cyber Risk Advisory

- Help evaluate risks for new and emerging technologies such as Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI), providing forward-looking risk advisory.

- Advise Technology leaders on the prioritization of risks, clearly defining which risks need attention and which are less critical, to effectively balance risk management with business needs.

- Demonstrate strong Technology experience in areas such as software development, technology infrastructure, data management, and cyber security to provide credible advice.

Problem Solving and Stakeholder Management

- Be a proactive problem solver, helping define the best approach to manage risks by thinking laterally across a variety of complex topics.

- Demonstrate comfort with negotiating and possess a proven ability to seek buy-in from key stakeholders for risk mitigation strategies.

- Operate effectively within an extensive matrix management structure globally.

- Exhibit effective communication skills with strong adaptability and attention to detail when reporting on risk status and control effectiveness.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience within technology, financial services, consulting, or a related highly regulated environment.

Technology Domain: Strong functional or technical experience in areas such as software development, technology infrastructure, data management, and cyber security.

Risk & Control: Mandatory strong understanding of risk and control principles and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Organizational: Extensive experience working in a matrix management structure and a proven ability to lead through influence.
