Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst (BA) is a strategic role requiring 7+ years of experience to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the Banking domain.

The incumbent must possess a Good understanding of the banking / wealth management domain and Hands-on experience in working with Data Warehouses and Data Analysis.

This role is based in Pune, operating in a Hybrid mode (3 days a week from the office).

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (7+ years experience) with mandatory expertise in Wealth Management financial products (Equity, Bond, Derivatives) and broader banking products (Loans, Deposits, Payments). The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into detailed user stories and design specifications. Core responsibilities include hands-on experience in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and generating financial reports using PL/SQL, strong understanding of the Trade Life Cycle, and preparing essential documentation like Data Mapping, Data Modelling, and Data Dictionary for transactional and reference data.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables

Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering:

- Demonstrate the Ability to understand complex business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed requirement documents / user stories (including acceptance criteria).

- Effectively explain requirements to technical teams (Developers, QA) and serve as the primary communication bridge throughout the SDLC.

- Maintain a Good understanding of the banking / wealth management domain comprising various financial products (e.g., Equity, Bond, and Derivatives).

- Possess a Good understanding of other banking products critical to the client lifecycle, such as Loans, Deposits, Payments, and Client static data.

Data Analysis, Reporting, and Modelling:

- Gain Hands on experience in working with Data Warehouses (DW) and performing advanced Data Analysis.

- Demonstrate Hands on experience in generating the financial wealth management reports and conducting Data Profiling using PL/SQL for complex queries and stored procedures.

- Show Exposure in preparing Data Mapping and Modelling documents (logical and physical models), and Data Dictionary documents for both transactional and reference data to accurately design different reports.

Domain Expertise and Process Flow:

- Maintain a Good understanding of the Trade Life Cycle (Order, Execution, Clearing, Settlement) to accurately map data requirements for trading systems.

- Ensure alignment of solutions with business processes, focusing on data governance and compliance within the banking sector.

- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the implemented solutions accurately reflect the business requirements and data integrity standards.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 7+ years as a Business Analyst.

- Domain: Good understanding of banking / wealth management domain (Equity, Bond, Derivatives, Loans, Payments).

- Technical: Hands on experience in working with Data Warehouses and performing Data Analysis / Data Profiling using PL/SQL.

- Documentation: Exposure in preparing Data Mapping and Modelling, Data Dictionary documents.

- Process: Good understanding of Trade Life Cycle.

- Methodology: Ability to translate requirements into requirement documents / user stories.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank) related to wealth management.

- Experience with BI/Reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI).

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
