Role: National Trade Marketing Manager
Location: Mumbai
About the Role:
This role will lead the national trade marketing agenda for a high-growth consumer products organization, driving in-store excellence, shopper engagement, and channel-specific strategies to accelerate revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and execute national trade marketing strategies across GT, MT, and e-commerce channels
- Translate brand objectives into channel-wise activation plans
In-store Execution & Visibility:
- Drive best-in-class in-store visibility, merchandising, and POSM deployment
- Ensure effective rollout of campaigns across regions with strong execution discipline
Channel & Customer Planning:
- Design tailored programs for key channels (Modern Trade, General Trade, E-com)
- Collaborate with sales teams on joint business plans (JBPs) with key accounts
Promotions & Activations:
- Plan and optimize trade promotions, consumer offers, and retail activations
- Track ROI and effectiveness of campaigns to drive continuous improvement
Sales Enablement:
- Partner closely with sales leadership to drive volume growth and distribution expansion
- Support new product launches with strong go-to-market execution
Analytics & Insights:
- Leverage market data, shopper insights, and competitor analysis to refine strategies
- Monitor KPIs such as off-take, visibility scores, and promotion effectiveness
Stakeholder Management:
- Work cross-functionally with brand marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance
- Manage external agencies and vendors for execution
Candidate Profile:
- 6 TO 10 years of experience in trade marketing / sales / category management in FMCG or consumer goods
- Strong understanding of GT/MT/e-commerce channels
- Proven track record in driving in-store execution and trade initiatives
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate insights into action
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Preferred Background:
- MBA from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 institute
- Experience in high-growth or innovation-led brands is a plus
