Job purpose - Optimize Supply Chain Operations by leading freight management and cost-efficiency initiatives. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve supply chain performance, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency Key Responsibilities: Freight Management: - Oversee all aspects of inbound and outbound transportation operations. - Collaborate with carriers, logistics providers, and freight forwarders to negotiate contracts and service agreements. - Develop and implement transportation strategies that reduce lead times and enhance on-time delivery performance. - Continuously monitor and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Cost Efficiency Programs; - Identify cost-reduction opportunities within the supply chain and develop cost-saving initiatives. - Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure cost efficiency improvements. - Implement lean principles and best practices to streamline processes and reduce operational costs. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization initiatives. Supply Chain Strategy: - Contribute to the development of the overall supply chain strategy. - Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align supply chain goals with the company's strategic objectives. - Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
