Position: National Sales Manager Institutional/Government Business (Pharmaceuticals)
Location: Gurgaon (Frequent pan-India travel)
Compensation: 18-22 LPA + Performance-Linked Incentives
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to lead and scale our institutional and government pharmaceutical sales across India.
The role involves driving revenue growth, managing tender processes, ensuring supply efficiency, and overseeing collections while leading a multi-region sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a pan-India institutional/government sales team.
- Drive national revenue targets across institutional, hospital, and government channels.
- Oversee tender identification, submission, bidding, negotiation, and award processes.
- Build and strengthen relationships with hospital procurement teams, government bodies, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure timely supplies, order fulfilment, and coordination with supply chain and operations teams.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections across regions.
- Develop strategic account plans and drive product penetration in key institutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitor activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and tender norms.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a strong focus on institutional and government business.
- Proven experience managing multi-region teams and delivering revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes, government tenders, and pricing frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India
