Job Title: National Sales Manager - General Insurance (Broking)

Our client is a licensed IRDAI-approved insurance broking firm specializing in General Insurance products across retail, SME, and corporate segments. With a growing nationwide presence, the company aims to expand its distribution network through strong agency alliances and corporate partnerships.
Role Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished National Sales Manager (NSM) with deep expertise in the general insurance domain and a strong background in agency development and broker-driven sales. This is a key leadership role responsible for strategizing, driving, and scaling the national sales operations of the broking firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & National Expansion: Define and implement national sales plans, focusing on agency partnerships, sub-brokers, and channel development.
- Agency Network Development: Recruit, onboard, and manage a nationwide network of insurance agents, corporate agents, and sub-brokers.
- P&L Ownership: Own and drive the sales revenue targets for general insurance lines across geographies.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, train, and scale a high-performance sales team; ensure goal alignment and performance optimization.
- Corporate Alliances & Key Accounts: Build and maintain strategic relationships with corporate clients and institutional partners for bulk/general insurance requirements.
- Product Knowledge & Cross-Sell: Ensure the team is equipped to sell across general insurance lines including Health, Motor, Fire, Marine, Property, and Liability.
- Compliance & Governance: Maintain IRDAI compliance, ethical practices, and transparent reporting across the sales vertical.
- Sales MIS & Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reports, growth forecasts, and competitive analysis to the senior leadership.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 12-18 years of experience in General Insurance sales, with at least 5 years in insurance broking. Proven experience in building national agency channels or managing pan-India broker sales.
- Qualification: Graduate with MBA/PGDM preferred. IRDAI Certification will be an added advantage.
