Job Description:

The National Sales Head - Sports & Live Events will lead the national revenue strategy for sports and live entertainment properties. This role is responsible for driving large-scale monetization across sponsorships, brand partnerships, ticketing alliances, corporate hospitality, media integrations, and experiential activations. The position requires strong leadership to build high-performing sales teams, manage marquee client relationships, and convert live sporting and entertainment moments into scalable commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute national sales strategy aligned with business goals and event calendars

- Drive revenue across sports leagues, tournaments, concerts, exhibitions, and live entertainment formats

- Identify new monetization opportunities including digital integrations, fan engagement platforms, and experiential assets

Sales & Revenue Growth:

- Lead sponsorship sales, title partnerships, brand activations, licensing, and on-ground visibility

- Own annual revenue targets, forecasting, and national-level sales pipeline

- Negotiate and close high-value commercial contracts with brands, agencies, broadcasters, and corporate partners

Team Management:

- Build, mentor, and manage zonal and regional sales teams across India

- Define KPIs, incentive structures, and performance benchmarks

- Create a competitive, ethical, and performance-driven sales culture

Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary relationship owner for key national clients and strategic partners

- Strengthen partnerships with advertisers, agencies, sports bodies, event promoters, and vendors

- Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance, and creative teams for seamless execution

Market Intelligence & Innovation:

- Monitor trends in sports marketing, live events, fan engagement, and sponsorship ROI

- Analyze competitor activity and evolving brand expectations

- Drive innovative, storytelling-led sales propositions

Education:

- MBA or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management

- Full-time degree preferred

Experience:

- 12-18 years of progressive sales leadership experience

- Prior experience in sports, media, live events, entertainment, or experiential marketing preferred

- Proven track record of closing large, complex sponsorship or partnership deals

- Strong exposure to the Indian sports and live events ecosystem
