JOB SUMMARY:
The National Sales Head New Partnerships will be responsible for acquiring, onboarding, building, scaling, and managing new-age distribution channels beyond traditional agency and bancassurance.
This includes strategic alliances with RRBs, NBFCs (for Retail), DSAs, Co-operatives, CSC Platforms, Fintechs, Motor Insurance Brokers, Insurtechs, Wellness Platforms, E-commerce Platforms, Digital Ecosystems, and other non-traditional partners to drive premium growth, customer acquisition, and innovation in distribution.
Incumbent will be responsible for P&L across all lines of businesses falling under New Partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategy & Business Growth:
- Define and execute the national strategy for New Partnerships aligned with company growth objectives.
- Identify tie-up opportunities through self-efforts and in collaboration with AML Alliances (BD) Team.
- Acquire new Business Partners including:
1. NBFCs
2. DSAs
3. Digital Platforms
4. Motor Insurance Brokers
5. Corporate Partners
6. Wellness Platforms
7. Educational Institutes
- Drive business growth through these partnerships.
- Onboard and activate newly acquired partners.
- Build and scale business through new partnerships.
- Lead innovation and experiment with new distribution models through pilot launches.
- Run selected distribution models on a BuildOperateTransfer (BOT) model before handing over to the larger distribution team to leverage synergies and optimize resources.
Minimum / Specific Experience:
- 12-18 years of experience in Life Insurance, BFSI, or Digital Partnerships.
- Proven track record in acquiring, building, and scaling partnership-driven businesses.
- Strong understanding of:
1. Rural distribution
2. Digital distribution
3. Embedded Insurance
4. Platform-based ecosystems
- Demonstrated P&L management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
Measure of Success:
- Tie-ups with RRBs and other new ecosystem partnerships.
- Business volume generated through these tie-ups.
- Achievement of Plan vs VNB & Sales through New Channels.
- Revenue contribution.
- Counter Share.
- Market Share.
- Cost of acquisition and profitability (VNB & NBM).
