Job Title: National Head of Sales
Location: Bangalore preferred, with extensive travel required
Industry: Industrial Purification Equipment Manufacturing
Reporting to: CEO.
About the Role:
We are a small but fast-growing and very profitable industrial manufacturing company engaged in the design and manufacturing of purification equipment for industrial applications across India.
We are seeking a highly experienced National Head of Sales to spearhead our sales function, drive profitable growth, and expand our market presence nationwide.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for building and managing a high-performance sales team, shaping sales strategy, deepening our relationships with our largest client accounts and delivering results in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead, mentor and manage a pan-India sales team; ensure continuous capability building and performance monitoring.
- Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and strategic partnerships in industrial sectors requiring purification solutions.
- Manage relationships with major clients, distributors, and partners to drive long-term customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Implement industry best practices for sales pipeline development, customer relationship management, and sales MIS reporting.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to senior management.
- Work closely with marketing, service, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions, and support new product development.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.
- Establish performance KPIs for the sales team and implement robust systems for tracking and accountability.
- Drive customer acquisition in new geographies and sectors, while maintaining growth from existing accounts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years of proven experience in industrial sales within India, preferably in purification or related capital equipment sectors.
- Prior experience in a national or large regional sales leadership role with responsibility for revenue targets and team management.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver sustained profitable sales growth in small to mid-sized industrial manufacturing companies.
- Strong track record of developing and leading high-performance teams across multiple locations.
- Deep understanding of Indian industrial markets, customer decision-making processes (including government tender processes), and procurement cycles.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent leadership and people management skills; ability to inspire, coach, and retain talent.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance sales growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Hindi (knowledge of additional regional languages is an advantage).
- High degree of self-motivation, resilience, and accountability.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
Compensation:
