About the Role:
We are hiring a National Sales Head (Director) to lead and expand the Freight Forwarding business across India.
This is a senior leadership position with full P&L accountability, overseeing air and sea freight, warehousing, transportation, customs clearance, and project logistics.
The role demands strategic leadership, deep sector knowledge, and proven multi-location management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the national sales strategy for freight forwarding services aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and drive performance across regional sales teams.
- Client Growth: Develop and retain strategic clients across industries such as Chemicals, Engineering, Automotive, and Industrial.
- Partnership Development: Build strong relationships with carriers, consolidators, and vendors to enhance service delivery and optimize procurement.
- Commercial Management: Ensure profitability through effective pricing, margin control, and trade-lane development.
- Operational Collaboration: Work closely with operations and global partners for seamless customer experience.
- Market Expansion: Identify and introduce new service lines such as cross-border trucking, customs brokerage, or 4PL control tower integration.
- Governance: Implement sales dashboards, incentive structures, and governance frameworks to institutionalize growth and accountability.
Preferred Profile:
- 18-25 years of experience in international freight forwarding, multimodal logistics, or integrated supply chain sales.
- Proven success in leading national-level sales teams or managing P&L in a logistics environment.
- Strong trade-lane development, key account management, and carrier relationship expertise.
- Excellent negotiation, financial acumen, and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach and execution focus.
