National Sales Head- Food Ingredients
Require for a Client of HR Avenues (a well-known Food Products & Ingredients manufacturer)
Position Objective -
To lead the sales function across the country. This role will focus on driving B2B sales of the ingredients to food/ baked products manufacturers, partnering with clients on product optimization. The ideal candidate will be one with around 15 years of B2B sales experience in the food/bakery industry including ingredients. And will have background and understanding of Packaged Foods / Bakery production lines, coupled with strong commercial acumen..
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's sales strategy for the ingredients business across KSA.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and revenue targets.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, R&D heads, procurement managers, and production teams.
- Work closely with clients to recommend solutions around micro ingredients, improvers, emulsifiers, enzymes, premixes, and specialty ingredients to optimize production lines.
- Translate technical knowledge of the processes into commercial opportunities, ensuring client needs are met with customized solutions.
- Drive market intelligence initiatives, identifying new growth opportunities, competitor activities, and evolving customer requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and application teams to run trials, demonstrations, and product application workshops at client sites or in-house innovation centers.
- Provide input to product development teams on market trends and client demands within packaged foods/bakery sectors.
- Regularly review sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline to ensure achievement of sales revenue, margins, and market share goals.
- Represent the organization at trade expos, packaged foods/bakery technology forums, and industry networking events in KSA.
Candidate Profile
- Education: MBA preferably with degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Around 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 in a sales leadership role within the packaged food /bakery ingredients or food processing industry.
- Strong understanding of production lines, technology, processes, and industrial trends relevant to target customers.
- Proven ability to sell technically advanced products and solutions to large-scale packaged food /bakery manufacturers.
- Track record of delivering sales growth in highly competitive markets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in English, Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to connect process improvement strategies with client ROI.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with leadership ability to inspire and guide a sales team.
