Role Overview:
The National Sales Head - Decorative Paints will be responsible for leading and managing the national sales team to achieve sales targets and expand market share. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with distributors and retailers. The National Sales Head will work closely with the marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales plans. This role directly impacts the company's revenue growth and brand presence across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share for decorative paints.
- Lead and manage the national sales team, providing coaching, training, and performance management to maximize their potential.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and influencers to drive sales and brand loyalty.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and segments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop and launch new products and marketing campaigns.
- Manage sales budgets and expenses effectively to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to senior management.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in the decorative paints industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating a national sales team.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify market opportunities and challenges.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey sales plans and performance updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- Must have 18-25 years of experience in sales, with a significant portion in the decorative paints industry.
- Willingness to be based in Kolkata and travel extensively across the country.
