Position: National Product Manager - Affordable HL/LAP

Education: MBA/ PGDM/ PGDBA

Location: Chennai

Age: Max 45 Years

General Job Responsibility:

- Responsible for revenue growth for the housing finance business in line with short term and long-term goals.

- Lead and manage the overall sales and collection function on a Pan India basis.

- Responsible for developing and ensuring implementation of sales and marketing strategies to arrive in the achievement of company's overall strategic objectives.

- Develop leadership and ownership capability building in the sales and collection teams.

Principal Accountabilities:

Strategic:

- Formulate, monitor and oversee overall business, operations and their budgets; and to ensure they are utilized in the most efficient and effective manner.

- Promote effective cross-functional communication of company operations to ensure the business/brand strategy is executed timely.

- Managing large sales teams and Develop sourcing strategy across India with respect to business partners, customer segments, geography, product mix etc. in conjunction with regional business heads.

- Ensure high brand visibility in the market.

- To manage the P & L of the HL Business.

- Manage delinquency of the book.

Tactical:

- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle: from ideation, market launch, and ongoing optimization to product retirement.

- Develop and launch new products or features, ensuring that they are properly positioned, marketed, and aligned with customer expectations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create go-to-market plans for new product launches, including product messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies.

- Manage the creation of product documentation, including brochures, user guides, and presentations for internal teams and customers.

- Ensure that all product-related processes, including compliance, legal documentation, and risk management, are thoroughly reviewed and executed according to company and regulatory standards.

- Work with the customer service and sales teams to provide support for product-related inquiries, ensuring that products are effectively communicated and understood.

- Continuously track product performance and customer feedback to refine and enhance product offerings, implementing iterative improvements.

Supervisory:

- Lead and mentor a team of product managers and other product-related staff, setting clear performance goals, and providing regular feedback and development opportunities.

- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the product team to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.

- Coordinate with other department heads (sales, marketing, operations) to ensure that national product initiatives are effectively executed across the organization.

Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in product management in housing finance, mortgage lending, or related domains.

- Strong domain knowledge of housing loan underwriting, customer segmentation, and regulatory framework.

- Proven success in managing both traditional and digital housing finance products.

Specific Skills:

- Exceptional thought leadership, people management and mentoring skills.

- Highly motivated with a proven track record of successful delivery.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

- Preferably should have shouldered PAN India level role in earlier assignment with involvement in strategy planning and overseeing execution.
