
Job Summary:
To lead the end-to-end product strategy, development, profitability and lifecycle management of housing finance products, ensuring alignment with business growth, customer needs, risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate and MBA / PGDM in Finance, Marketing, Business Management or equivalent preferred.
- 12 - 18 years of experience in Banking, Housing Finance, NBFC or Financial Services.
- Strong experience in Product Management - Product Development - Business Strategy.
- Experience in Home Loans, LAP, Affordable Housing or secured retail lending is preferred.
- Should have demonstrated experience in launching and scaling financial products.
- Strong understanding of Housing Finance and secured lending Product strategy and lifecycle management.

Job Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Define and drive the overall product strategy aligned with the company business plan and growth objectives.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, customer segments and new product opportunities.
- Develop the long-term product roadmap for Home Loans, LAP, Affordable Housing and other secure lending products.
- Establish product-wise growth, profitability and market share objectives.
- Drive product differentiation and competitive positioning through market and customer insights.
- Define product pricing and profitability strategy in collaboration with Business, Credit, Risk and Finance.
- Evaluate and recommend new products, geographies, customer segments and business models.
- Drive digital product strategy and transformation of the customer lending journey.
- Develop strategic partnerships with technology providers, fintechs, aggregators and other ecosystem partners.
- Present product strategy, business cases and performance to the CEO - Business Head - Management Committee.
- Ensure product strategy is aligned with regulatory requirements, risk appetite and governance standards.
Tactical:
- Translate the product strategy into annual, quarterly and monthly execution plans.
- Define product features, eligibility criteria, pricing, fees, process flows and customer propositions.
- Monitor product-wise disbursement, portfolio growth, yield, profitability, TAT and portfolio quality.
- Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with Credit and Risk teams to refine product policies and underwriting parameters.
- Collaborate with Sales and Business teams to improve product penetration and conversion.
- Coordinate with Technology and Operations teams for product enhancements and system implementation.
- Lead product launches, UAT, pilot programs and rollout activities.
- Identify process gaps and implement initiatives to improve TAT, customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Prepare product MIS, dashboards and management reports.
- Track product performance against approved business plans and initiate course corrections.
- Conduct periodic product reviews and recommend modifications based on market performance and customer feedback.
Supervisory:
- Lead and manage the Product Management - Product Development team.
- Define KRAs, KPIs and individual objectives for team members.
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely execution of product initiatives.
- Review team performance through periodic reviews and performance dashboards.
- Guide team members on product design, market analysis and business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to product governance, SOPs and approval processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and resolve execution-level issues.
- Ensure timely preparation of product documents, circulars, process notes and training material.
- Conduct regular team meetings and track action items to closure.
- Build product capability within the team through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
- Identify talent requirements and support recruitment and development of the product team.
- Ensure effective escalation and resolution of critical product-related issues.
