Job Description
- Reviewing and finalizing title diligences for construction finance / retail mortgage business across verticals to ensure enforceability of the collateral.
- Managing, empanelling and liasoning with external counsels;
- Drafting, reviewing and standardizing loan, security documents and all non-standard document;
- Drafting legal policies and processes pertaining to various classes of collateral accepted in various market segments and regions;
- Coordinating with the stakeholders to manage the mortgage business efficiently by improving quality of deliverables and the TAT;
- Identify and highlight relevant enforcement risks to the senior management with respect to the portfolio;
- Create, manage and mentor the mortgage legal team, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and by providing adequate guidance and ensuring an efficient team is put in place to support and help in expansion of the business;
- Enhance resource productivity and manage all administrative activities for the team;
- Managing all legal audits in relation to the portfolio;
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, risk management, and compliance with regulations from RBI, SEBI, IRDA, and others.
- Provide strategic updates to senior management on the legal teams progress, and create and implement governance frameworks and policies.
- Providing strategic guidance to the mortgage legal team of the subsidiary.
