The company works closely with farmers, millers, traders, and retailers to build an efficient, technology-driven procurement ecosystem, with a strong focus on staple commodities such as rice.

Role Overview

The role involves leading pan-India rice buying and procurement operations. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of rice markets, and experience managing large procurement values at a national level.

Key Responsibilities

- Head national-level rice procurement and buying operations across multiple sourcing regions.

- Manage annual rice procurement value of - 100 Cr+ with focus on cost, quality, and supply continuity.

- Develop and execute rice buying strategies aligned with demand forecasts and market dynamics.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and volumes with rice millers, traders, and large suppliers.

- Track rice market trends, crop patterns, and price movements to optimize buying decisions.

- Build and manage strong relationships with rice traders, millers, and aggregators nationwide.

- Ensure quality standards, grading norms, and compliance with internal procurement processes.

- Coordinate with supply chain, warehousing, and internal teams for seamless execution.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to price volatility and supply disruptions.
