The National Head - PSU Business Correspondent will be responsible for driving the end-to-end BC business strategy with Public Sector Banks. The role will focus on winning bank RFPs, securing location approvals, and building & scaling high-performing field teams to expand the BC network across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage BC/Agency Banking relationships with multiple banking partners, including Public Sector Banks and other financial institutions.
- Drive new business acquisition through RFPs, tenders, and strategic references, ensuring successful onboarding of banking partners.
- Own and strengthen stakeholder relationships across banking channels for long-term business growth.
- Define and align revenue targets, business plans, and growth strategies with senior management.
- Oversee P&L management, including revenue tracking, billing, collections, and profitability.
- Expand the national footprint by appointing and activating business partners / BC agents / CSPs (Customer Service Points).
- Drive financial inclusion initiatives and government-linked programs across geographies.
- Lead large-scale partner onboarding, activation, and lifecycle management processes.
- Monitor and improve network productivity, transaction volumes, and service delivery.
- Drive product and operational excellence, including performance reviews, partner engagement forums, and training initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, technology, compliance, finance) to ensure timely delivery and execution.
- Lead nationwide expansion efforts, including frequent travel for partner reviews, bank meetings, and business development.
Candidate Details
- 12-18+ years of experience in Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services, with strong exposure to BC model / financial inclusion.
- Proven track record of winning PSU bank RFPs./Government tenders.
- Strong network and relationships within Public Sector Banks.
- Experience in building and managing large, distributed field teams.
- Deep understanding of rural/semi-urban market dynamics.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a high-growth, execution-driven environment.
Preferred Qualification:
- MBA / Postgraduate degree preferred.
- Experience working with digital banking/payment platforms/AEPS/micro-ATM ecosystems.
