National Debt Manager

Description:

- Lead and drive large team of collection resources towards organisations collection target efficiency and recovery budget.

- Formulate and execute comprehensive collection strategies for the entire assigned zones/states, aligned with organisational objectives.

- Defining an analytical and strategy model to measure the portfolio performance, delinquency trends, insights on the portfolio

- Lead, guide, and motivate the regional level and their underlying collection structures to deliver aggressive recovery targets.

- Monitor, analyse, and report on the collection performance, identifying key drivers and areas for strategic intervention. Ensure strict adherence to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across all the level.

- Drive operational efficiencies through process improvements, technology adoption, and best practice sharing. Manage budget, resource allocation, and cost-effectiveness of collection efforts.

- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Risk, and Operations teams to enhance collection outcomes.

- Represent the collections function in strategic discussions and present the performance to top management.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree (MBA preferred) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

- 10 To 12 years of senior leadership experience in debt collection for microfinance loan, with a significant tenure in managing multi-regional or zonal operations. Should have experience in hard bucket collection.

- Should have proficiency in English, Tamil and Hindi

- Should possess expertise knowledge and understanding of Collections buckets, Provisioning methodologies and Recovery mechanisms.

- Proven expertise in developing and executing large-scale collection strategies.

- Extensive knowledge of the credit risk, and collection technology.

- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong understanding of data analytics and its application in collection optimization
