
Role Overview:
The National Credit Manager will be responsible for leading credit underwriting and risk management for the Home Loans (HL) and MSME/Loan Against Property (LAP) businesses at a national level. The role will focus on developing credit policies, strengthening underwriting frameworks, managing credit risk, and leading large credit teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the national credit underwriting function for Home Loans and MSME/LAP portfolios.
- Design, review, and implement credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk frameworks.
- Drive consistent and effective credit appraisal and decision-making across locations.
- Oversee credit assessment, approval, and processing of loan proposals in line with defined policies.
- Monitor portfolio quality, credit performance, and emerging risk trends.
- Identify potential credit risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Lead and manage large credit teams across the country.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal credit policies, and risk guidelines.
- Collaborate with business and other stakeholders to balance business growth with prudent credit risk management.
- Continuously review underwriting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and portfolio quality.
