Job Purpose:
The National Business Manager NRI will be responsible for driving and managing the bank's NRI business across India. The role is responsible for leading and expanding the bank's NRI customer base by developing and implementing robust strategies for customer acquisition, relationship management, and cross-selling of NRI banking products. The role requires overseeing regional teams, managing partnerships with key stakeholders, overseas agents and remittance channels, while ensuring regulatory compliance to drive business growth and profitability in the NRI segment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national strategies for growing the NRI banking business, including deposits, remittances, loans, and investment & insurance products.
- Manage and mentor a team of Relationship Managers specializing in the NRI segment.
- Identify key international markets and nurture relationships with overseas banking partners and remittance agencies.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and portfolio growth through effective channel management and marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate with Product, Compliance, Risk, IT, and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and servicing of NRI clients.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators, market trends, and competitor activity in the NRI banking space.
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC, AML, FEMA, RBI guidelines, and other regulatory requirements specific to NRI banking.
- Represent the bank at NRI-focused forums, exhibitions, and roadshows to enhance brand presence and generate business leads.
- Optimize customer experience and drive digital adoption among NRI clients for seamless banking services.
- Drive NRI business through branch banking and other identified channels.
Experience & Skillset:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in banking services.
- Deep understanding of NRI banking products including NRE/NRO Accounts, FCNR Deposits, Remittances, Loans, and Investment Products.
- Proven track record of acquiring and growing NRI customer portfolios at a regional or national level.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams and collaborating with international stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of FEMA Regulations, RBI Guidelines, KYC, and AML.
- Certifications such as NISM, Certified Wealth Manager (CWM), or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
