Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Vision:
- Define and implement NAMTECHs comprehensive IT and Digital Infrastructure strategy, aligned with academic, research, and institutional objectives.
- Lead the transformation into a Smart Campus, incorporating IoT, AI, XR Labs, and Industry 4.0 platforms to create an immersive learning and research environment.
Digital Infrastructure & Operations
Build, operate, and scale a secure, reliable, and cloud-first digital ecosystem, covering:
- Cloud Platforms & Virtualization
- Cybersecurity & Data Privacy
- Enterprise Applications (ERP, LMS, CRM, etc.)
- Data Analytics, AI/ML, and Business Intelligence Tools
- Smart Campus Technologies (IoT, Digital Twins, etc.)
Scalable IT Enablement
Ensure technology readiness to support NAMTECHs growth trajectory, including:
- Students: Scaling from 300+ to 5,500+ (including online/hybrid learners).
- Faculty & Staff: Scaling from 50+ to 200+ across on-campus and remote environments.
Governance & Compliance
- Establish IT governance frameworks and enforce policies aligned with global standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements).
- Ensure high availability, cybersecurity, and compliance of all IT systems essential for academic delivery, research, and administrative functions.
Innovation & Leadership
- Set up NAMTECHs Center of Excellence for Digital Infrastructure & Operations, benchmarked against global technology best practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and operational excellence within the IT function.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT and digital team, ensuring future-readiness and capability expansion.
Strategic Partnerships
- Forge collaborations with leading technology providers, global academic institutions, and government bodies to accelerate NAMTECHs digital vision.
