
Job Summary:
- The US Tax Manager is responsible for managing US federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting, including individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- The role ensures accurate filings, supports tax planning, manages audits, and stays current with US tax laws to minimize risk and optimize tax outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage preparation, review, and filing of US tax returns, including:.
- Form 1040 (High Net Worth Individuals).
- Form 1120 / 1120S (C-Corporations and S-Corporations).
- Form 1065 (Partnerships, including K-1s).
- Oversee multi-state filings and related apportionment issues.
- Review and manage quarterly estimates and extensions.
- Oversee U.S tax provisions and reporting (ASC 740), if applicable.
- Ensure compliance with U.S federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Handle sales & use tax, payroll tax, and other indirect tax matters as applicable.
- Coordinate and manage IRS and state tax audits, notices, and correspondence.
- Conduct tax research and provide technical guidance on complex tax issues.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for individuals and entities.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams and external tax advisors.
- Maintain tax documentation, workpapers, and internal controls.
- Review work prepared by tax seniors/associates and provide technical mentorship.
