Description: Sr. Business Development Manager
Experience: 7 - 12 years
Location: Coimbatore
We are looking for a results-oriented Business Development Manager with a strong engineering background and proven B2B sales experience. The role requires engaging with large enterprise customers, presenting solutions at the CXO level, independently generating and managing leads, and driving revenue growth. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete sales cyclefrom lead qualification to proposal closure and collectionswhile maintaining strong customer relationships.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an engineering or technical background
- Ability to present solutions and value propositions at the CXO level
- Strong understanding of B2B business development and enterprise sales
- Proven ability to penetrate and manage large accounts
- Capability to independently generate, qualify, and manage leads
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned revenue and collection targets on a monthly basis
- Build, maintain, and validate a healthy customer database for the assigned territory
- Identify and map target customers and key accounts within the territory
- Engage with customers through regular field visits as per defined parameters
- Qualify customer requirements by assessing need, budget, influencers, and decision-makers
- Maintain and update all customer interactions, opportunities, and data in the CRM platform on a daily basis
- Map customer organizations by capturing relevant information in client dossiers and internal tools
- Prepare and submit proposals as per approved templates in coordination with the supervisor
- Convert submitted proposals into confirmed orders within the agreed timelines
- Build and maintain a strong and healthy sales funnel
- Maintain long-term customer relationships through periodic visits and engagement
- Ensure timely collections in line with agreed commercial terms and proposal conditions
- Track and analyze competitor activity and market trends, sharing insights with the supervisor and marketing team
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA or Bachelors degree in Business or any related field.
- Proven experience in B2B business development or enterprise sales
- Experience handling large accounts and complex sales cycles is preferred
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
