Role Description:


- We are looking for a dynamic Regional Credit Manager to join our Nagpur team.

- This full-time, on-site position is pivotal to maintaining the financial health and stability of our regional loan portfolio.

- The role involves comprehensive oversight of credit management activities, including risk assessment, loan disbursement monitoring, and compliance adherence.

Key Responsibilities:


- Lead and manage credit risk assessment for the region's portfolio to ensure minimal defaults and healthy asset quality.

- Monitor and oversee loan disbursements, recoveries, and repayments, ensuring alignment with company standards and policies.

- Conduct in-depth credit analysis and due diligence on loan applications and borrower profiles.

- Collaborate with field teams to address and resolve credit-related issues and to implement risk mitigation strategies.

- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining documentation and audit readiness.

- Generate regular reports on portfolio performance, risk metrics, and credit trends for senior management review.

- Mentor and guide credit officers and operational staff within the region to enhance credit assessment capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience Education:


- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field is mandatory.

- Master's is a plus.

Experience:


- Minimum 5 to 6 years of professional experience in credit management or credit risk roles, preferably within microfinance, banking, or financial services sectors.

- Proven track record of managing regional or branch-level credit portfolios with significant exposure to retail or microfinance lending.

- Experience in credit risk assessment, loan underwriting, and portfolio quality management.

- Familiarity with JLG or similar group lending models is highly desirable.

Skills:


- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and credit reports.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, borrowers, and regulatory authorities.

- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a cross-functional team.

- Proficiency in relevant financial software and MS Office application.
