Description:
- Conduct periodic branch audits to ensure adherence to lending policies, credit risk parameters, and operational standards.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on audit findings to monitor corrective action implementation.
- Assess regional risks related to home loan disbursements, borrower profiles, repayment patterns, and loan servicing.
- Identify weaknesses in internal controls and propose measures to strengthen them.
- Ensure branches comply with relevant housing finance laws, anti-money laundering (AML) standards, and KYC norms.
- Monitor adherence to internal and external regulatory requirements across all branches in the region.
- Supervise and mentor regional audit teams, ensuring alignment with organizational audit strategies.
- Provide training and development opportunities to build audit capability within the region.
- Collaborate with branch managers and regional heads to address audit findings and enhance operational processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional regulatory inspections and compliance reviews.
- Prepare and present regional audit reports to senior management, summarizing findings, risks, and corrective actions.
- Develop action plans to address identified risks and drive continuous improvement.
