Role Overview:

The National Credit Head will lead the overall credit function for the Affordable Home Loan business, ensuring sound underwriting, portfolio quality, and compliance while supporting business growth in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement credit policies and frameworks specific to affordable housing customers.

- Oversee credit appraisal, underwriting, and approval processes for housing loans.

- Evaluate high-value proposals and ensure adherence to internal and regulatory norms.

- Monitor portfolio health, early warning indicators, and take corrective actions to maintain asset quality.

- Implementing credit policies, managing risk in portfolio & ensuring compliance.

- Drive initiatives for risk mitigation, NPA reduction, and process improvement.

- Lead and mentor the pan-India credit team, ensuring training, consistency, and strong governance.

- Responsible business, collections, and risk teams to ensure balanced portfolio growth.

- Ensure full compliance with RBI/NHB guidelines and internal audit standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field; MBA / CA preferred.

- 15+ years of experience in Affordable Home Loans / Housing Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior credit leadership role.

- Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, low-income customer segments, and risk management.

- Proven ability to manage large teams and pan-India operations.
