
Chola MS General Insurance (Murugappa Group) is looking to hire a MIS Manager to drive data reporting, analytics, and business insights across key functions.
This is a mid-senior level role requiring strong analytical capabilities, data handling expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
Role Overview
The role involves managing end-to-end MIS reporting, enabling business decision-making through data insights, and supporting leadership with performance tracking across sales, operations, and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. MIS & Reporting Management
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports across business verticals
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reports to stakeholders
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
2. Business Analytics & Insights
- Analyze large datasets to derive actionable business insights and trends
- Support leadership with performance dashboards and data-driven decision-making
- Track key KPIs such as sales performance, conversion ratios, and productivity metrics
3. Data Management & Governance
- Ensure data integrity, validation, and standardization across systems
- Identify gaps in data capture and recommend improvements
- Work closely with IT teams to streamline data flows and reporting structures
4. Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Underwriting, and Finance teams
- Understand business requirements and translate them into effective MIS frameworks
- Support ad-hoc data requests and business reviews
5. Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive automation initiatives using tools like Excel (Advanced), SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Enhance reporting efficiency through dashboards and visualization tools
- Continuously improve MIS processes aligned with business needs
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in MIS, Business Analytics, or Reporting roles
- Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, Dashboards)
- Experience in data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau preferred)
- Working knowledge of SQL or data querying tools is an added advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
