Munich Re Role Profile : Job Title : Client Manager (Non Life Team) Base Location: Mumbai, India Reporting To: Head of Client Management Experience: 3-5 years Job Purpose : - Munich Re India Branch is responsible to develop and manage the reinsurance business in India and SAARC region in line with over all Munich Re's global business strategy. - The Client manager will be responsible to identify and create reinsurance business opportunities. The purpose of this role is to coordinate all aspects of client engagement, including the new client identification and selection strategy. The ability to quickly understand a new business proposition and to position it within the Munich Re business model is key. - The Client Manager will work in a collaborative team environment. Engagement with clients, brokers and other external agencies and alignment with the internal cross functional teams of Underwriters, Analytics and Finance is a key element of the role. One of the Key aspects of the role would be engage with Government entities and identify and develop business opportunities, so he/she should have a flair to work with these agencies. Key Responsibilities : - Develop & implement the strategy for Client engagement, develop alignment of interest, and ensure we have a coherent, long-term relationship with our clients and channels. - Work closely with key stakeholders internally and externally to identify trends and new opportunities. - Play an active role in the acquisition, retention and servicing of clients. - Assume full responsibility over the client relationship throughout the on-boarding phase of the partner's business and remain the primary point of contact concerning further business development activities with the partner. - Overall accountability for results in the area of responsibility - Business decision on renewal and new business terms and conditions Education & Experience : - MBA in marketing from a premier institute is required. - Professional qualifications also an advantage. - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Government business, partner engagement, strategic alliances or business enablement for an insurer or reputable broker. - Proven ability to communicate actively, effectively and succinctly with strong facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills. - Able to engage with and impress C-Level and engage across the levels within the client as well as Munich Re - Able to work in a dynamic environment and deliver under very tight time pressure. - Ability to understand Client's Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc) - Willing to travel - Relevant knowledge of the non-life Insurance business. Understanding of the reinsurance business can be an added advantage.
