Business Excellence - Drive continuous improvement projects which lead to bottom line savings, top line impact, benefit to the stakeholders or project sponsors, compliance or regulatory adherence, employee skill and knowledge development and KPI performance improvement through various tools like Workplace Organization (5S & Visual Management), 8 Waste Elimination, Set-up Reduction (SMED), Work Balance and Standardized Work, Root Cause Analysis Problem Solving (DMAIC) - Drive 5S and visual factory, facilitate its implementation and monitor and review for sustenance for such and other types of operational tools - Oversee the deployment and maintenance of the daily management system across multiple departments, consulting on effective PDCA through standard work and Gemba activities/Tier Accountability Boards - Work with Team Leaders and Team Members to drive change and Lean Champion to lead cross-functional efforts in problem-solving with proper use of root cause analysis tools and improvement methodologies - Anchor shop floor improvement activities through application of Industrial engineering studies and Operational concepts on shop floor - Collect and analyse data for implementing and monitoring 6 Sigma Projects - Study production processes, Identify and facilitate Operational improvements and monitor and review for continuity - Collaborate with Process Leaders to share project reports, trends/program results and to maximize effectiveness of all support resources - Co-ordination between various departments in the unit to ensure smooth functioning & achieving business excellence targets - Providing strategic consultancy to clients for achieving quality certification as per quality standards, QMS Implementation, Internal Process Audit, Supplier Audit, Continuous Improvement as well as appraising the status of system implementation - Ascertaining and capturing COPQ (wastes) across the value chain with cross-functional ownership - Upgrade/exchange knowledge about application of new and innovative tools and techniques of operation management through conduct of knowledge sharing sessions - Create operational improvement awareness on shop floor through provision of training programs on Operational tools and techniques - Any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
