MRI Software - Product Owner - IIT/NIT/IIM

MRI Software is currently seeking a Product Owner to join our Product Management team focused on developing our product.

This individual needs to have experience maintaining product backlogs, documentation, and gathering requirements.

In addition, the Product Owner is responsible for developing user stories, translating requirements, producing and managing product roadmaps and working with the agile programming teams.

Role Summary:

The Product Owner Level 2/3 is responsible for driving product vision into actionable deliverables and ensuring strong alignment between business goals and engineering outcomes.

This role requires solid ownership of the product backlog, advanced Agile practices, strong user story writing skills, and awareness of AI-powered opportunities that can enhance product experience and team productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product strategy and planning

- Backlog grooming and management

- Agile delivery leadership

- Stakeholder collaboration

- Maintain scrum boards

- Develop product roadmaps

Required skills and competencies:

Core Skills:

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and ceremonies.

- Excellent user story writing and requirements gathering capability.

- Ability to structure epics, features, and roadmaps effectively.

- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret product metrics and data.

Tooling Expertise:

- Jira / Azure Boards

- Confluence / Notion

- M365 Copilot / Notion AI / Jira AI Assist

- Product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Power BI, Hotjar)

AI Awareness:

- Understanding of how AI/LLM features can be integrated into product workflows.

- Familiarity with AI tools for story generation, summarization, and backlog refinement.

- Awareness of responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, privacy).

- Ability to work with architects and data teams to assess AI feature feasibility.

Education:

Bachelor's/Master's degree from IIT/IIM
