Role Overview:

Role Title: Senior Manager - Project Management

Job Location: Noida

- The Senior Manager - Project Management is responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight for the successful delivery of MPS product, technology, and business initiatives.

- The position will lead project and program management activities across the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring initiatives are planned, governed, and executed in alignment with organizational objectives, agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and resource constraints.

- The role will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Business functions to establish delivery priorities, manage dependencies and risks, facilitate effective decision-making, and ensure transparent reporting of project performance.

- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project governance capabilities, together with a structured and commercially aware approach to managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project and Program Leadership:

- Provide end-to-end leadership and oversight of assigned projects and programs from initiation through delivery, implementation, and transition to business operations.

- Establish project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones, governance structures, and success criteria in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, delivery roadmaps, schedules, and resource plans.

- Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, timelines, quality expectations, and resource parameters.

- Establish appropriate project governance and ensure adherence to organizational project management standards.

Agile Delivery Management:

- Lead the adoption and effective application of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, where appropriate.

- Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.

- Promote transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and predictable delivery across project teams.

- Monitor delivery metrics and establish appropriate KPIs to assess project performance and delivery effectiveness.

Stakeholder and Executive Management:

- Develop effective working relationships with Product, Engineering, Business, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Executive stakeholders.

- Serve as a key point of coordination across functional teams, ensuring alignment of priorities, deliverables, dependencies, and decisions.

- Provide regular and accurate executive reporting on project status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, resource requirements, and overall delivery health.

- Facilitate stakeholder decision-making and ensure timely escalation of matters requiring management attention.

Risk, Issue and Dependency Management:

- Establish and maintain effective processes for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks.

- Proactively identify cross-functional dependencies, delivery constraints, and potential schedule or resource impacts.

- Develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans and ensure appropriate escalation where required.

- Maintain clear visibility of project issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Resource and Financial Management:

- Support resource planning, capacity forecasting, and allocation across assigned projects and initiatives.

- Monitor project budgets, expenditure, and resource utilization in accordance with approved plans.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure appropriate resource availability and delivery commitments.

- Identify resource constraints and provide recommendations to leadership to support effective prioritization and allocation.

Process Improvement and Operational Excellence:

- Identify opportunities to improve project management processes, delivery practices, governance, and operational efficiency.

- Establish and promote consistent project management standards, templates, methodologies, and reporting practices.

- Drive lessons-learned activities and incorporate continuous improvement initiatives into future delivery cycles.

- Coach and mentor project and delivery management personnel to strengthen organizational project management capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Project Management, Management, or a related discipline are preferred.

- 10+ years of relevant experience in project, program, or delivery management, preferably within a software, technology, publishing, information services, or related environment.

- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional technology or software delivery programs through the complete project lifecycle.

- Strong practical knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe.

- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or equivalent platforms.

- Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent is desirable.

- Proven experience in project governance, resource planning, risk and dependency management, financial oversight, vendor management, and executive reporting.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both operational teams and senior leadership.

- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities.

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivery predictability.
