Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance

Location: Bangalore, India (Full-time, Office-based)

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance to join our Bangalore office and play a leadership role in building and executing a mature, scalable compliance program for a U.S.- regulated fintech. This is a high-impact role with direct visibility to senior leadership and meaningful ownership of compliance testing, issue management, and continuous improvement. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer (U.S.-based) and partner closely with business, operations, legal, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory expectations are met while supporting a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute compliance testing and issue management across the organization, including scoping, testing, documentation, and remediation tracking

- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned regulatory and operational risk areas, developing a deep understanding of inherent risks and control design

- Conduct risk-based reviews of compliance and operational controls across business units

- Partner with business teams to drive timely issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and sustainable process improvements

- Analyze internal data, third-party reports, and vendor outputs to identify trends, risks, and control gaps

- Provide hands-on oversight and day-to-day support for core compliance processes including

OFAC and sanctions screening reviews

Marketing opt-outs and information-sharing controls

Data deletion and privacy-related requests

- Identify patterns from testing and monitoring to enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency

- Support the ongoing evolution of the compliance program, including policies, procedures, and management reporting

Qualifications &Experience

- Bachelor's degree or higher in law, finance, accounting, business, or a related field

- 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or control testing roles

- Demonstrated experience with compliance testing, issue remediation, and program management

- Prior experience in financial services or fintech (consumer lending strongly preferred)

- Working knowledge of U.S. consumer financial regulations (e.g., CFPB-regulated environments)

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to draft clear findings and senior-level summaries

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and engage confidently with senior leadership

- A proactive mindset with a passion for risk management, quality, and operational excellence
