This was established by Late Shri. Prahalad Rai and Mr. Mohanlal Agarwal. The MPL Group of Companies brings consummate solutions to the growing demands of the infrastructure industry. Today, the group has come a long way since its inception in 1959, as the 1st steel re-rolling mill in Andhra Pradesh.

Job Purpose:

- To oversee the overall operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and within quality standards.


- The Plant Manager is responsible for optimizing resources, implementing process improvements, and aligning plant operations with the company's strategic objectives, thereby contributing directly to MPL Group's market leadership and growth.

Responsibilities:

- Operational Management: Lead daily plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics.

- Production Planning: Ensure timely and cost-effective production schedules aligned with customer requirements and inventory goals.

- Team Leadership: Supervise plant personnel, ensure proper training, and foster a culture of accountability and safety.

- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements; coordinate audits and inspections.

- Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage plant budgets, reduce overheads, and monitor KPIs for cost-effective operations.

- Compliance & Safety: Enforce statutory compliance (labor, environmental, safety regulations) and promote EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) practices.

- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with procurement, logistics, HR, and senior management to support broader business goals.

Required Skills Set:

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams.

- Strong knowledge of production metrics, inventory systems, and quality control standards.

- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Light House, SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing technologies.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Education & Experience:

- Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering; MBA in Operations is an advantage.

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in plant or factory management, preferably in the steel, cement, or construction material industry.
