Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, originate, and evaluate strategic growth opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments aligned with the company's long-term goals.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend monitoring to inform strategic decision-making.
- Develop detailed financial models and perform rigorous due diligence to assess the viability and valuation of potential deals.
- Lead end-to-end deal processes from origination, negotiation, closure, to post-merger integration ensuring smooth operational and cultural alignment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations teams to facilitate deal execution and integration activities.
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations, investment cases, and progress reports to senior leadership and board members.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management discipline, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, investors, and industry stakeholders to support deal sourcing and ecosystem development.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of acquired entities or partnerships post-integration to ensure value realization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- MBA from IIMs mandatory + CFA qualification a plus
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or strategy roles, preferably within IT services or technology sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex transactions and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proven experience in deal origination, negotiation, execution, and integration of mergers and acquisitions.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to evaluate business opportunities and risks.
- Superior communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal and financial aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence and contract review.
- Collaborative mindset with leadership qualities to influence and drive consensus across diverse teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the IT services or technology industry with understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, and corporate finance principles.
- Exposure to post-merger integration processes including operational, cultural, and technology integration.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools and CRM or deal management software.
