
The Director of Infrastructure Delivery Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of large-scale infrastructure engagements while managing Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability. This role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction across network operations, cloud infrastructure, security operations, and data centre services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure services, financial management, and client engagement, with a focus on optimizing delivery models for profitability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of infrastructure projects and managed services, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
- Lead cross-functional teams (Network Operations, Security Operations, Cloud, DevOps) to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
- Act as the primary escalation point for high-priority client issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to scope, price, and propose infrastructure solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and technology partners.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, security policies, and regulatory requirements (ISO, SOC, GDPR).
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion within existing accounts.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (AI-driven operations, SRE, FinOps) to enhance service delivery.
- Own the P&L for infrastructure engagements, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Monitor revenue, margins, and operational expenses to ensure profitability.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through automation, vendor renegotiation, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure delivery, with 5+ years in P&L management for large engagements ($10M+).
- Proven track record in managed services, outsourcing, or consulting with infrastructure focus.
- Experience in Network Operations (NetOps), Security Operations (SecOps), Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Data Center services.
- Strong understanding of pricing models (fixed-price, T&M, managed services), margin analysis, and cost control.
- Ability to lead globally distributed teams and manage multi-vendor environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- PMP, ITIL, COBIT
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP Architect), Security (CISSP, CISM)
- Financial (CFA, CPA) or business management certifications are a plus.
