Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our Banks & NBFC research team based in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth fundamental research on publicly listed Banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). You will work closely with senior analysts and contribute to generating investment ideas, writing research reports, and interacting with institutional clients. Your analysis will directly influence investment decisions and contribute to the overall success of our equity research platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough fundamental research on Banks and NBFCs, analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to identify investment opportunities.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models to forecast company performance and valuation, ensuring accuracy and relevance for investment recommendations.

- Write comprehensive and insightful research reports, presenting investment theses, recommendations, and risk assessments to institutional clients and internal stakeholders.

- Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting the Banks & NBFC sector, providing timely updates and analysis to the team.

- Interact with company management teams, industry experts, and institutional investors to gather information and refine investment perspectives, enhancing the quality of research output.

- Support senior analysts in developing investment strategies and generating alpha-generating ideas, contributing to the overall performance of the research team.

- Present research findings and investment recommendations to internal and external audiences, effectively communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth financial analysis and build robust financial models.

- Proven expertise in analyzing the Banking and NBFC sectors, understanding key industry drivers and regulatory frameworks.

- Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.

- Experience in interacting with institutional clients and presenting research findings.

- A Master's degree in Finance, MBA, or a related field is preferred.

- 2-8 years of relevant experience in Equity Research covering the Banking and NBFC sectors.
