
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Government Presales Consultant to drive our engagement with Government and PSU clients. This mid-level role requires a blend of technical expertise, commercial understanding, and bid management skills to effectively respond to RFPs, tenders, and compliance requirements. You will serve as a key link between our sales, product, and technical teams, ensuring our solutions are aligned with client needs and procurement norms in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Solutioning:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government and PSU stakeholders.
- Understand client requirements and recommend tailored technology solutions.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, clarification sessions, and solution discussions.
Bid & Proposal Management:
- Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, compliance matrices, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Coordinate the complete bid cycle-from documentation to submission and follow-up.
Technical Support & Documentation:
- Develop solution presentations, Bills of Material (BoMs), and technical write-ups.
- Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and product demonstrations.
- Conduct gap analysis and feasibility checks for solution customization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Legal, and Finance teams to finalize proposals.
- Ensure alignment with procurement guidelines and internal approval processes.
Market & Compliance Awareness:
- Stay up to date with government procurement norms, including GeM platform and eProcurement guidelines.
- Monitor tender portals for new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
- 2 - 5 years in Presales, Bid Management, or Solution Consulting for Government/PSU clients.
- MBA is a plus
- Strong knowledge of government tender processes, techno-commercial documentation, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with ITSM, NMS, or IT infrastructure monitoring solutions (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management best practices.
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, demos, and tender-related activities.
