Motadata - Content Lead

About the Role:

Motadata is seeking an accomplished Content Lead to own and drive the strategic vision for product and technical documentation across our enterprise software portfolio. This is a senior leadership role where you will shape documentation standards, enhance content quality, and ensure our product messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.

As the custodian of all product and technical content, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams to deliver world-class, user-centric documentation that accelerates adoption, enables internal teams, and empowers customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership Define, implement, and evolve the documentation strategy for multiple product lines, aligning with business and product goals.

- Content Excellence Establish and enforce content standards, tone, governance, and information architecture to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with technical and business teams to gather insights, translate complex concepts, and deliver content for diverse audiences.

Multi-Format Content Development Oversee the creation of:

- User Guides, Knowledge Bases, and API Documentation

- How-to Articles, Tutorials, and Use Cases

- Release Notes and Technical Blogs

Sales Enablement Collateral

- Operational Ownership Manage documentation platforms and workflows (Confluence, Git, Markdown) ensuring content is searchable, up-to-date, and synchronized with product releases.

- Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and scale a team of technical writers and content creators, fostering a high-performance and innovative culture.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years in technical content development, with 2+ years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record managing documentation for complex enterprise software products.

- Strong technical acumen with the ability to distill complexity for multiple audiences.

- Proficiency in documentation and version control tools (Confluence, Git, Markdown).

- Experience in Agile, product-led environments.

Preferred

- Exposure to ITSM, DevOps, Observability, or Automation domains.

- Experience with DITA/XML, API documentation, or static site generators.

- Understanding of analytics-driven content optimization.
