Role Summary:

The Manager / Senior Manager Internal Audit will support and execute internal audit activities, strengthen Internal Financial Controls (IFC), and coordinate statutory audit processes across India and international entities (USA, UAE).

The role requires hands-on experience in audit execution, risk assessment, compliance, and cross-functional coordination.

This role will work closely with the Associate Director and external/internal auditors to ensure audit readiness, control effectiveness, and timely closure of audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Audit Execution:

- Support creation and execution of the annual internal audit plan.

- Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits across business units.

- Identify control gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.

- Follow up on open audit issues and ensure timely implementation of action plans.

- Prepare audit reports and present key findings to senior stakeholders.

Internal Financial Controls (IFC):

- Assist in maintaining the IFC framework and Risk Control Matrices (RCM) as per Companies Act, 2013.

- Conduct design and operating effectiveness testing for key controls.

- Work with process owners to remediate deficiencies and strengthen control environments.

- Support statutory auditors during IFC reliance testing by providing documentation and walkthroughs.

- Help ensure controls alignment for international entities (USA/UAE).

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC):

- Promote strong control discipline and compliance awareness across teams.

- Support updates of policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.

- Assist in risk assessments and monitoring risk mitigation initiatives.

Statutory Audit Coordination:

- Act as a key support for statutory audit activities including planning, data preparation, walkthroughs, and clarifications.

- Coordinate with cross-functional departments (Finance, Tax, Legal, IT, Operations) for data readiness.

- Ensure timely closure of statutory audits, quarterly reviews, and certifications.

- Assist in preparation of financial statements, schedules, and supporting documents.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external auditors.

- Collaborate with internal audit partners if co-sourced or outsourced.

- Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for management and audit committees.

- Provide inputs for process improvements and emerging control needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.

- 25 years of experience in Internal Audit, IFC, Risk, or Statutory Audit.

- Strong understanding of Companies Act, 2013, Ind AS, and audit standards.

- Experience with ERPs, audit tools, or data analytics is an advantage.
