Role Overview:

As the Sr. Logistics Manager at MORTEX INDIA, based in Kolkata, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our supply chain logistics. You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from origin to destination. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to maintain seamless operations and contribute to the company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations

- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods

- Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, and vendors

- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials and finished goods

- Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, or discrepancies

- Prepare and maintain logistics documents (GRN, challans, invoices, e-way bills, PODs, etc.)

- Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with warehouse teams

- Optimize logistics costs and improve delivery efficiency

- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and company policies

- Maintain logistics MIS reports and dashboards

- Handle customer and internal queries related to dispatch and delivery

- LOI preparation and confirmation with the Unit/Plant

- Preparation of Cargo Lifting schedule for Plant/Unit

- Daily reconciliation of Pending details

- Internal Coordination(Team-wise)

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective logistics strategies that optimize supply chain performance.

- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms with vendors and service providers.

- Strong vendor management skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships.

- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- In-depth knowledge of logistics management principles and best practices.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
