Senior Analyst / Associate - Private Equity requires the candidate to have a minimum of 2-4 years of Investment Banking or Private Equity work experience with global / domestic institutions (front offices only) Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia (MSPEA) is looking to recruit a Senior Analyst / Associate in the Private Equity team in India (Mumbai-front end) office. MSPEA is one of the leading private equity franchises in Asia having invested over US$ 4 Bn in businesses throughout Asia, including India, China, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Singapore etc. Role is with a sector agnostic fund to make investments in India. The candidate will get the opportunity to work across multiple key sectors of focus such as Financial Services, Healthcare and Pharma, Consumer, IT/ITES and Business services Ideal candidates qualifications : - Minimum of 2-4 years of Investment Banking or Private Equity work experience with a global / domestic institutions (front offices only) - Having exposure towards execution of deals from a buy or sell side - Strong financial modelling and valuation analysis skills - Top Indian/EU/US B-schools, IIT/IIM graduates or undergraduates or CA (top rankers only) Key responsibilities of the role: - Work as a part of the internal deal team, evaluating and executing investment opportunities - Conducting industry, business and financial due diligence across sectors - Preparation of investment memos, marketing materials and supporting deal documentation - Support in portfolio company management to achieve business plans, benchmarking performance and assist in building exit strategies (as required) - Build relationships at the appropriate levels within the portfolio companies - The candidate will cover a range of sectors and explore a variety of investment ideas using a mix of financial modelling and strategic analysis - As the skill set and responsibilities expand, the candidate will have opportunities to identify potential investments by undertaking in-depth sector studies, participating in the structuring of complex transactions and eventually develop and evaluate strategic initiatives for portfolio companies
