Job Function: Portfolio Analytics team Department: Morgan Stanley Fund Services Description: Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) provides fund administration services to the world's leading hedge funds. MSFS has around 700 professional with offices in New York, Dublin, London, Glasgow, Mumbai and Hong Kong. The Portfolio Analytics group of Morgan Stanley Fund Services focuses on providing solutions for risk management, performance measurement, investor transparency reporting, and other portfolio analytic needs of Morgan Stanley's global hedge fund clientele. The group currently seeks a person who has the knowledge and skill in financial securities to carry out the daily activities required in the team such as monitoring of risk and performance calculation, investor transparency reports and derivatives valuation. The candidate is expected to grow in the understanding of portfolio performance measurement, risk measurements and in due course be able to research and answer client questions on the subjects. The team is also constantly engaged upon new analytical projects, and the candidate in due course will participate in accordance to his/her demonstrated skills. As the candidate progresses, other analytical projects such as historical stress analysis, fundamental factor model, management of complex technical projects in the various tools can become part of the responsibilities. Requirements: - MBA/BE/BTech - 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial markets. Background in Hedge Fund industry would be an advantage. - Strong understanding of financial securities and derivatives finance. - Strong Communications skills. - Attention to detail and must constantly look for ways to improve operational efficiency. - Self-driven personality. Creativity in solving problems. - Will require working in shift from 1.00 pm - 10.00 pm. - Ability to collaborate seamlessly within the team and beyond, and across international borders - Working experience in coding VBA macros in excel is preferred.
